Pricing
|
Our backup system has a simple pricing schema. Some services charge per megabyte
or per gigabyte of data transferred. Other services have pricing based on
numerous tiers of data transferred and data held by the offsite server. We found
these types of methods to be hard for the customer to understand, leading to
higher bills for them.

|
Crown Computers offsite backup program will charge a base rate of $15
per month for up to 5GB of space used. Each additional 5GB of space used will
cost $2. That is it!

|
|
|
Our base rate includes an unlimited number of backups and restores. If you’re
using a Windows XP desktop or a Windows 2003 Server with SQL, our service
includes all plugins and agents needed to support all of these. No extra fees
for these services! |

Our service is designed for servers and central data
storage machines, therefore the base rate is good for one machine. However,
additional machines can be added to the same account for $10 per month to cover
licensing. Any additional machines will attach to the main account, and the
additional data transferred to the offsite server will be included in your main
plan. There are no other account fees.

Online recovery is always free. However, for recovery where a large amount of
data is needed, DVD recovery is $25 per DVD plus shipping or delivery fees. For
cases where even larger amounts of data are needed, such as using an external
USB drive, market prices will be calculated at that time. In the case of a total
loss requiring full recovery, each scenario will be handled on a individual
basis. |

A cost calculator is being created for you to try out your estimated monthly
costs.
Please note that offsite data will be compressed at an average of a 4 to
3 ratio. So if your machine has 80GB of used space now, it can be estimated that
the used space on the backup server will be about 60GB. Compression is an
estimate, so it could be more than 4 to 3 or it could be less. Also, if you
choose to have our offsite server hold extra backups or hold extra copies of
changed files (redundancy), this will increase your storage space used.
